Congratulations to the organisers and participants of this year’s John Lewis Partnership Charity Cycle Ride which has raised a staggering £22,000 for the HoneyPot Children’s Charity.
David Bostelmann, who was representing Tenos in this year’s event, set off from London on the 19 September.
The 30 cyclists successfully completed the 300-mile cycle ride in Liege, Belgium three-days later despite being challenged by rain, mud tracks and cobbled streets (not ideal conditions for on-road cycling!).
David, a Chartered Engineer at Tenos said: “There was great team camaraderie amongst all the cyclists throughout the trip which kept everyone motivated and focussed on what we set out to achieve.”
“The highlight for me has to be conquering the Mur de Huy, a 26% gradient hill located in Huy, Belgium and famous for serving as the finish for the third stage of the 2015 Tour de France. Although, I don’t think I will be winning a yellow jersey anytime soon!” adds David.
The HoneyPot Children’s Charity provides respite breaks and outreach support to carers and vulnerable children in the UK.
